-
Why should I have my windshield repaired instead of replaced?
- Small chips and cracks can be safely repaired resulting in large savings. A repair is a process of injecting clear liquid resin into the damaged area. The resin is then cured by ultra violet light until hard. This will restore the clarity and strength to the auto glass.
- The repair process usually takes 30-60 minutes, preserves the original factory seal, and is fully guaranteed. If the repair fails, the price of the repair goes toward the replacement of the windshield.
- Your comprehensive deductible is also waived when you repair vs. replace.

- Do not discuss the accident or sign any statements or reports about the accident , except with police or your own insurance agent or adjuster.
-
Why is the lienholder(bank) included as a payee on the check/draft, that pays
for damages to my vehicle?
- Insurance Companies are obligated by law to protect the rights of lienholders. Your Claims Representative will be happy to address any specific questions or problems.
-
What if the repair shop discovers the need for additional repairs after I have
been paid for damages?
- If they should find any damages that were not discovered by the Claims Representative, please have the repair shop contact the Claims Representative immediately.
-
What is a deductible?
- A deductible is the amount of damages that you agree you will be responsible for if you have a claim. Most insurance policies have a deductible, which states a portion of the amount paid for the loss will be subtracted (deducted) from the amount the insurance company would otherwise pay. This amount is not paid to the company, it simply becomes your share of the loss and is deducted from the payment.
-
Why do I have a deductible?
- Deductibles serve several functions. Shifting the cost of small claims to the person buying the insurance (insured) enables the insurance company to reduce premiums. Adjusting claims for small amounts often costs more than the dollar amount of the claim. The cost of insurance would be much higher if there were no deductibles. The higher the deductible, the lower the premium.
